Dr. Tarun Chhabra, a practicing dentist, who has been studying indigenous Toda ethnography and ethnobotany for the last two decades. In 1992, he founded the Toda Nalavazhvu Sangam along with some Toda elders. Through this organization he has been involved in restoring many facets of traditional Toda cultural practices and in providing myriad developmental schemes to the original inhabitants of the Upper Nilgiris. He is one of the few outsiders to ever speak the Toda language.
He has published over 50 articles for journals and magazines all over the world; including some has chapters of International books.

Mr. Ramneek Singh is a tea planter, naturalist and photographer of repute who has made significant efforts to conserve the flora and fauna of the Upper Nilgiri for over 15 years. He is very interested in observing wildlife such as Tiger, Leopard, and Nilgiri Tahr; he has documented many rare amphibians, reptiles and bird species.
